Nate Mathews received his Masters of Fine Art in Photography from Columbia College Chicago in 2008 and teaches photography as an Associate Professor of Art at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. His work explores a variety of architectural spaces sites.

Recent exhibitions of his work include group shows at Loyola University Chicago, the Rockford Art Museum, Buckham Gallery, Filter Photo Space, and Photo Place Gallery, Olivet Nazarene University and solo exhibitions at Governors State University, the McLean County Arts Center, Elgin Community College, and Black Hawk College.
